The Story and a Little Bit of History about this 'Book' from 'Blog'

The Story and a Little Bit of History about this 'Book' from 'Blog'

This blog was started to collect a little bit of family genealogical information.  It was not conceived of as a book but rather tidbits about various explorations and 'rabbit holes' collected over my life time.  These tidbits at times were simply organizing templates for various forays to get something written down.  Keep in mind that not all 'rabbit holes' have been included and there is a collection tucked away in aproverbial closet.

As a result there is a large chaotic presentation style.  Having explored one of options for producing a book from the blog I see the need for revisions and more consistency of style.  At the same as I read the various blog entries the content needs revision.  Sometimes I can do that easily and sometimes not.

I have promised myself not to let either of those obstacles to get in the way of getting something in written book form.

This blog entry will be used to record any dilemmas encountered.

Dilemmas

#1 This dilemma has to do with ordering the blog entries.  The 'blog publishing date' will be used to put the entries in the order it makes most sense to appear.  The blog entry itself will tell more about the origin or 'real' origin (composed date).  Hence the beginning entry will arbitrarily be 'January 1, 2000' so it will be the first/oldest entry and appear at beginning of the book.  I am constrained by the mechanics of this 'blog vendor' and the 'book vendor'.

#2 Images are sometimes use by the 'book vendor' as 'Title Page' for the entry.  This may obscure information that needs to be visible to tell the story.  Hence images may be duplicated.

#3 Sometimes the blog entry information is extremely out-of-date.  Generally the entry will be deleted but clearly left with some indication of where it has gone, or how it has been been updated.
